Listen Daddy, please don’t cry,

I see you look up to the sky.

I feel your love in every tear,

I’m safe, I’m warm, I’m always near.

You talk to me when no one’s there,

I hear your words float through the air.

You gave me life and love and care,

and I’m always around, always there.

Daddy, I hear you way up high,

your love reaches me – up in the sky.

You gave me all I’ll ever know,

And I’m sorry that I had to go.

So when you stop and breathe in the night,

know I’m okay — I’m full of light.

No need for tears or last goodbyes,

I’m with you still, up in the skies.
