In Loving Memory of David Colin James Barber
Born 9th October 1987 and passed 5th December 1987, aged just 8 weeks. Born a tiny 5lb baby with dark hair, David was affectionately known as Baby David — no surname needed, the whole country knew his story.

About the scent:
Inspired by Clothesline (Scentsy) — a fresh, clean fragrance of crisp linen, sun-dried cotton, and breezy florals. A scent as pure as innocence itself, chosen to honour David’s memory.

The moon reminds his family of him, shining brightly on the night of his funeral — a beacon of love and remembrance. White feathers and the scent of pine trees bring gentle signs of his presence.

David’s story carries with it a fight for justice. In 1987, he had to wait six weeks for his heart operation due to a lack of beds and qualified nurses. His family fought the NHS in court and won, but tragically, David and many other children lost their lives to systemic failings. His memory continues to raise awareness of the importance of proper care and staffing — issues that sadly still exist today.

His mummy remembers holding him after his operation, when his colour changed from grey-blue to a healthy pink. For the first time, she could hold him without wires and tubes — a memory she will treasure forever.

David is remembered always by his family, including his little sister Sarah Jane Barber, who carries his memory with her in every step of her life.

Songs that remind his family of him include China in Your Hand by T’Pau and You Win Again by the Bee Gees, lyrics that echo his fight, his light, and his love.

🌿 About the Wax

Our melts are hand-poured in small batches using 100% soy wax for a cleaner, longer-lasting scent throw. Each clamshell contains approx. 77g of wax, with each segment giving 8–12 hours of fragrance depending on your burner and room size — that’s up to 48+ hours of scent per clamshell.

As each wax melt is handmade, colours and designs may vary slightly from batch to batch.

🔥 Wax Melt Safety

Use in a well-ventilated area, away from drafts, pets, and children.

Only use in an unscented, 4-hour tealight burner or an electric wax melt warmer designed for melts.

Never add water to your burner.

Do not move the burner while in use or while the wax is hot.

Extinguish the tealight or turn off your warmer before the wax is fully evaporated.

Allow wax and burner to fully cool before cleaning or re-use.
