The Moon & Me

Mummy, Daddy, please don’t cry,

I’m not gone — I live in the sky.

The moon tucks me in when the sky looks deep,

and sings me a song till you fall asleep.

I see your faces when night turns blue,

I follow your smiles — I love you.

I chase your wishes the wind sets free,

and we keep them safe — the moon and me.

Sometimes you’ll feel a soft little glow,

that’s me, just letting my love show.

When shadows fall or dreams seem far,

I’m right beside you — wherever you are.

I can’t hold your hand, but I can hold your heart,

We’re never really worlds apart.

So look for me when the night feels new,

The moon and me — we’re always with you
